Spin City is smart stuff. The one-liners zing, Mr. Fox and company are disarming and the 22 minutes flow by effortlessly. The only snag is that concept of spin. Are those who toy with the truth all that funny?

Saw Michael J. Fox demonstrating one of his strengths as he had in Family Ties: making a potentially obnoxious character likeable.

Spin benefited not just from the charm of Fox but also was blessed with one of the better sitcom ensembles of the nineties. Plots are broad and the comedy is physical, but the show was well written and amazingly acted.
