Description
The series offers a wide variety of events that speak of drama and action. The series begins as the team moves to new offices after the attack on Rosen. Violent riots erupt on the east coast, linked to a runaway teenager, and during a raid against the Red Flag an unknown alpha is discovered. Gary is heavily associated with her while the rest of the team tries to determine the reach of their enemies. SyFy's Alphas might have been a reasonable excuse for summer entertainment five years ago but we've seen too many shows like it in the last few to give this disappointment a pass.

Each character possesses his own set of personal struggles and flaws, as well as a deep back story, and each brings a unique dynamic to the group, which will make Alphas one of the best summer shows, not just on Syfy, but on television.

The soul of the show is its conflicted "heroes," truly tortured, in palpable ways. There's no cartoonery here. Just adult adventure and angst.
