Description
Wallace University is rocked by a string of murders. All hell is about to break loose at Wallace University where, 20 years after a tragedy, a killer begins targeting the sisters of Kappa House. Part black comedy, part slasher flick, Scream Queens is a modern take on the classic whodunit, in which every character has a motive for murder... Or could easily be the next blood-soaked casualty.

While it was much needed to have an episode that spent more time developing Dean Munsch, "Beware of Young Girls" felt too much like a filler episode that was trying to buy more time until Scream Queens needs to resolve the whodunnit mystery.

Don't fret pledges, this week's episode threw us right back into the thick of the plot -- and illuminated a certain character's darkness.

"Beware of Young Girls" had all the trappings of a filler episode. Sure, we learned a few new things about Dean Munsch (and about Chad's lactose intolerance), but as far as furthering the Red Devil plot, we really got nowhere.

I don't want to say this was a waste of an episode. I don't! And really, this week's episode of Scream Queens wasn't a waste. It showed me exactly how many logic gaps one single episode of television could contain.

Scream Queens Season 1 Episode 7 gave us what I'm sure many viewers were waiting for: a Jamie Lee Curtis showcase.

What's worst about "Beware Of Young Girls" is that it's neither aggressively bad nor aggressively good enough to make it even a middle of the road episode. Instead, it's merely a nothing episode.

"Beware of Young Girls" was my favorite episode of Scream Queens so far. The only thing that held it back from utter perfection was the conspicuous absence of Niecy Nash.

God, the middle of a mystery show is always the worst, and we have five more weeks before we find out who did it. The writers better find a way of engaging us really quickly.

The Previn/Mia Farrow/André Previn love triangle did not involve murder or imprisonment. Still, for those familiar with both the true story and the song, you'll find the Jamie Lee Curtis-led episode to be quite the twisted homage.
