Tango and Cash is a waste of talent and energy on all levels: unworthy of Konchalovsky, unworthy also of Stallone, Russell and every superior technical credit on the film.

This form of self-conscious action filmmaking is smeared over both Stallone and Russell. They mug mercilessly (none too well) and, of course, they rely on plenty of bang and firepower to disguise a sour and often nasty script.
